The Social Security Disability process is extremely hard to navigate.  Do not try to do it on your own.  I will be honest with you from our first conversation whether I think you have a case for disability.  It can be a very long process (2+ years) so you need an honest opinion from the start.  I do not take every case that calls me because I do not believe that is fair to you.      

Your eligibility for social security disability is not unlimited.  There are two types of Social Security Disability -- Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

SSDI:  If you have worked around 5 of the last 10 years you are likely eligible for SSDI.  But beware that your disability insurance benefits have an expiration date.  Because of this "expiration" date it is so important that you present your best available case the very first time.  Use an experienced attorney to help you present your best case.  ​
